PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To provide advice to clients in a competent manner and within compliant guidelines as stipulated by the Regulator and the Company

To advise and arrange general insurance cover for retail and commercial clients

To deal with renewals, MTAs and claims

The employee will be able to support the Company’s goals by demonstrating excellent communication skills and expertise in providing expert advice and guidance to customers in aspects of risk management and insurance portfolio.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

A good understanding of the insurance market and products in the sector

An ability to identify and match the company’s products with customer enquiries and the ability to identify market opportunities/trends

Good keyboard skills including Microsoft Office, e-mail, internet and MIS system

Excellent written and communication skills, a proven ability to make professional presentations for existing and potential clients, report writing.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

To negotiate terms on behalf of our clients with underwriters and the compilation of risk submissions to present to underwriters

Issuing insurance registers, summarising the scope of insurance cover

Processing commercial claims in line with service level agreements

Presenting reports to existing and potential clients, issuing risk presentations and providing advice to customers on how to deal with risks

Comply at all times with the requirements of Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the FCA rules

To maintain professional competence by complying at all times with the training and competence procedures of the organisation

To support the departmental Key Performance Indicators and service level agreements as directed by your Line Manager

To undertake all other duties as reasonably required and directed

Meticulous record keeping – ensuring TAM is updated at all times.
